Well, day three in Beijing is over. Seems like more like 3 months since we left Japan!

Last night we went to see the kung-fu monks. Was the most incredible show. Guys breaking metal bars over their heads, a monk balancing stools with another guy on the top on his head, kids doing back flips bouncing off their heads... wow. kung fu fighting...fast as lightening!

Today we went to a huge market. Couldnt move without someone grabbing your arm & saying "hey miss, you look...i give you very good price...". Ended up leaving with a new little day pack & a gorgeous "ive always dreamed of" red silk bed-cover, for which i payed about 1/10 the asking price. Bargaining is fun =)

Just met our intrepid group. They seem pretty friendly. Consists of a family from denmark, a few couples from england, scotland, ireland & another 3 kiwis-a couple, our group leader, plus ben & I. Going out for dinner with them all shortly.
